OeKB Export Insurance Coverage rose to €1b

Vienna (CBI PR dept) – OeKB, Austria’s export credit agency, has raised the limit for covering transactions with Iran from €280 million to €1 billion.


Austrian Finance Minister, Hans Jörg Schelling made this comment in his meeting with Valiollah Seif, Governor of Central Bank of Iran and added: "Austria is interested in taking necessary action to complete Banking ties with Iran and eliminate barriers to form correspondent relations with Iranian Banks."
Also in another meeting, Governor of CBI visited the Joint Vienna Institute (JVI) in order to utilize this institute's educational capacity to equip Iranian Banks with the latest Standards.
The Joint Vienna Institute (JVI) is a regional training centre which was established in 1992 by the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Austrian CB, Oesterreichische Nationalbank with supports from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and several other international organizations.
