Regulations concerning the importing and exporting foreign currencies to/from the Islamic Republic of Iran
TEHRAN (CBI PR dept) – Incoming passengers can have up to 10000 EURO and passengers leaving the country can carry 5000 EURO via air borders.

 Passengers can carry foreign currency for 5000 EURO or its equivalent in other currencies via air borders and 2000 EURO via land, rail and sea borders subject to the statement at the time of arrival and the printed receipt containing tracking number issued by Bank Melli Iran.

Incoming passengers may bring foreign currencies in cash up to 10000 EURO or its equivalent in other currencies.  For higher amounts, it is obligatory to make statements at entry points.
